Sprinkles add fun and color to everything even these new Nearly No Fat Party Cookies. Change the colors of sprinkles for every holiday or celebration. You can also change the flavor of chips just remember to read labels for milk and gluten allergies.

As far as the recipe everything is the same as my original Nearly No Fat Chocolate Chip Cookies except that I added sprinkles to replace the chopped walnuts. Of course, you could leave the chopped walnuts in the recipe. I like walnuts in all my cookies.

Two tablespoons of chopped walnuts are less than 3 WW points. So even if you added 1/4 of a cup it would only add about 1/4 or .25 points to a cookie.

I love the cheeriness sprinkles add to cookies and other baked treats. There is just something very fun about sprinkles…don’t you agree?

To Make Nearly No Fat Party Cookies You Will Need:

  • Unsweetened applesauce
  • Light brown or dark brown sugar
  • Pure vanilla extract
  • Milk or a non-dairy type product, I used soy milk
  • All-purpose flour or a gluten-free one-to-one baking mix. I used King Arthur Gluten-Free Measure-For-Measure
  • Baking powder ~ corn-free if needed.
  • Salt
  • Cornstarch ~ Potato Starch for corn-free
  • Sprinkles ~ check for a gluten-free product if needed
  • Semi-sweet chocolate chips or mini-chocolate chips ~ maybe even some of each

Crazy Cookies:
~ Keep a container in the pantry of leftover flavored baking chips, sprinkles, and peanut butter and chocolate flavored candy then mix everything together. The next time you make cookies replace the chocolate chips with this colorful and tasty mixture for a whole new cookie.  People love these and ask for the recipes all the time when I do these mixtures. I call these crazy cookies because they are crazy delicious and never the same.

Of course, you should remember…there is a point where these cookies lose the “nearly no fat” name if too much is added. But the basic recipe is still nearly fat-free.

Enjoy!!
