The other day I was driving home and this idea popped in my head for brownies.
Fill a couple of pastry bags with frosting… one with chocolate and the other with coconut pecan. Then make repeated rows of each flavor. Oh my gosh was it good!
Not everything has to be made from scratch, but if you have a favorite brownie recipe…of course use it!
You will need:
1 box of brownie mix, I used the 9″ x 13″ size. Gluten-free if needed.
1 pre-made container Betty Crocker Rich and Creamy Chocolate Frosting. This is gluten-free.
1 pre-made container Betty Crocker Rich and Creamy Coconut Pecan Frosting. This is gluten-free.
Bake the brownies according to the package, the cake-like option. Let them cool completely.
Put about half of each frosting flavor in a pastry or decorating bag using a tip with a large opening. I used a round tip for the coconut pecan frosting and tried a couple of different tips for the chocolate frosting. Make stripes using the two flavors of frosting any width you like, I made my coconut pecan stripe a bit thicker.
Or…frost the brownies as shown below. Cover the entire top of the brownies with all chocolate frosting first, then add a second layer of coconut pecan frosting. Try these German Chocolate Brownies frozen for an unforgettable dessert.
Serve them up and indulge!
