Better Puppy Chow is made with 4 ingredients; peanut butter, chocolate chips, cereal, and powdered sugar. We left out the butter and replaced it with something better….more peanut butter. And that means more protein for each handful.
This fun, tasty treat is gluten and dairy-free, plus Low FODMAP too.

- 1 cup Peanut butter ~ regular creamy
- 1 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips ~ allergy-friendly if needed I used ~Enjoy Life
- 1 1/2 cups Powdered sugar
Instructions
- Measure the cereal and put half in a large bowl and half in a medium bowl. Set aside.
- In a glass bowl or a large glass measuring cup, add peanut butter and chocolate chips. I like to use a glass measuring cup with a pour spout.
- Melt the peanut butter and chocolate chips in the microwave for about 50 seconds. Stirring halfway through.
- Pour half of the melted chocolate mixture over the cereal in the large bowl and mix until the cereal is coated. Then pour the rest of the chocolate mixture over the cereal in the medium bowl. Stir to coat cereal.
- Add the medium bowl of cereal to the large bowl and stir together. Make sure you scrape the bowl on the bottom and get all the chocolate.
- Sprinkle 1 cup of the powdered sugar over the cereal and toss and stir to coat.
- Continue adding powdered sugar until all cereal is coated. I end up using my hands to finish coating all the cereal.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
