Seasoned Juicy Baked Burgers
Seasoned juicy baked burgers are the perfect alternative to grilling anytime of the year. The best part is that you can form them directly on the pan you are planning to bake them on. The patties don’t fall apart like they sometimes do when being transferred to a grill. I especially have this problem with turkey and chicken burgers. They are often sticky and difficult to form into patties, at least for me.

When baking these burgers, line a cookie sheet with raised sides with parchment paper to prevent the juices from spilling out. Lining the cookie sheet with foil first is optional for easy cleanup. Form the seasoned meat into the desired patty size, usually four from a pound of ground meat. Flipping the burgers is optional but not necessary.

The sizes will vary, but cooking time is about 20-25 minutes or until the center of the meat reaches a safe temperature. Ground meat needs to be cooked thoroughly. The inside should not show any pink and reach a temperature of 160 degrees F, 70 degrees C.

Baked burgers are a great option when you are feeding a large group. I’ve baked nine burgers on each cookie sheet without any issues.

Add cheese slices at the end of the cooking time and close the oven for a minute to allow the cheese to melt slightly.
These baked burgers are an easy meal to prep ahead of time and freeze. Freeze uncooked patties or cook them before freezing for a busy day meal anytime.
