We don’t use regular bacon regularly; I am more of a turkey bacon fan. I use real bacon mostly as a recipe ingredient, such as in clam chowder, layered salad, and Zuppa Toscana soup. I also occasionally like turkey bacon on a deli sandwich or a breakfast sandwich with an egg.
The photo I am showing in this post is turkey bacon. It bakes up crispy and quickly without any mess. I line my baking sheet with foil; or use parchment paper if you prefer. You don’t even have to flip the bacon while it’s in the oven!
Cooked bacon is also freezer friendly, which I love. I only have to cook it once and pull some out when I’m in the mood.
How To Bake Regular Bacon:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.
Arrange slices of bacon close together in a single layer on the foil or parchment paper, but not overlapping
Bake in the middle of the oven for 12 minutes. Check doneness cooking time is usually 14-15 minutes, depending on preference or thickness of the bacon.
Remove the baking pan from the oven and place bacon on folded paper towels to absorb some grease.
How to Bake Turkey Bacon:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Arrange slices of turkey bacon close together in a single layer on the foil or parchment paper, but not overlapping
Bake in the middle of the oven for 20 minutes. Check doneness, being careful not to overbake.
