This easy sauce simmers for just 10 minutes. Use it right away, or refrigerate it for later use. I often use this in place of ketchup on a burger because I like the extra flavor.
When grilling, adding the barbecue sauce during the last half of the cooking time is crucial. Otherwise, you may be faced with some unnecessary scorching.

To Make Sugar-Free Barbecue Sauce, You Will Need These Ingredients:
- Tomato paste
- Lemon juice
- Water
- Salt
- Liquid stevia ~ if you are not sugar-free, use 1-2 tsp granulated sugar
- Oregano
- Cumin
- Nutmeg
- Black pepper
- Dry mustard
- Garlic powder
- Olive oil
- Yellow onion
- Garlic clove
- Sriracha
- Liquid smoke
This might seem like a lot of ingredients, but flavor isn’t something we want to miss out on. The first step involves using a blender, or you can whip everything together with a whisk. Then, a quick ten-minute simmer on the stove after adding a few more ingredients.
I love the simplicity of this sauce. The recipe yields approximately 12 ounces.
Store the sauce in the refrigerator in an airtight container.
Enjoy!
