1/4cupLemon juice ~ fresh for corn allergies.
1/4cupWater
1/4tspSea salt
1/2tspOregano
1/4tspCumin
1/4tspGarlic powder
1/8tsp Nutmeg
1/4tspGround black pepper
1/2tspDried mustard ~ for corn-free I suggest grinding your own seeds.
2dropsLiquid stevia~ or 1 tsp sugar if not sugar-free
1tbspOlive oil
1small-mediumYellow onionchopped finely
2clovesGarlic
1/2cupWater
1/2tspSalt
1/4tspSriracha~ I use 1/2 tsp
1/2tspLiquid smoke
Instructions
Mix the first 11 ingredients in a blender or with a whisk and set aside.
In a small saucepan add olive oil and chopped onion and garlic. Cook until onions are soft. Add all other remaining ingredients including the tomato mixture and stir to combine. Simmer for 8-10 minutes.
When grilling add during the last half of the cooking time.
