Beef Carnitas In The Slow Cooker
These beef carnitas are as flavorful as any pork version and super easy; just let the slow cooker do all the work. Cooking time will vary on meat, choice, and size, but approximately 6-7 hours on low.

There are many ways to eat carnitas, but we like to add some sauteed onions and peppers and pile everything in a tortilla. Gluten-free tortillas if needed.
Add to that some guacamole, salsa, sour cream, or whatever toppings that sound good.
Serve carnitas with a side of quick and easy Spanish rice, beans, and, when in season, corn on the cob to round out a surprisingly easy meal.
I prefer to pull apart and shred the seasoned meat in a large dish because it’s easier to see any parts of the meat you wish to discard. Cover the dish with foil until ready to serve.
I used Siete Carnitas Seasoning Slow Cooker Spice. This mix is gluten-free, Paleo-friendly, and preservative-free. It says to use pork, chicken, or jackfruit, but I tried it with top sirloin steaks. It was so amazing; we will definitely make it again.
If you want to skip the wraps, carnitas are also fantastic over rice with sides of sauteed peppers and beans.
Enjoy!
