- 1 1/2 lbs Mahi Mahi Tilapia, or Cod
- 1 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 1/2 tsp dark brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 tsp ground cumin
- 1/4 tsp chili powder
- 1-2 Tbsp oil for skillet if desired
In a small bowl combine spices and brown sugar. This is your wonderful rub!
Wash and pat dry the pieces of fish.
Sprinkle rub over both sides of fish gently tap and rub to keep it in place.
Heat oil in a skillet and cook the pieces fish; about 5 minutes on each side.
Fish will no longer have a translucent look when it is done and will flake.
Heat up a tortilla and serve with all your favorite fillings and dig in!

Sides that go great with fish tacos are Mexican or Spanish rice, refried beans, black beans, corn on the cob, chips and more salsa!!
We warm our tortillas up for a few seconds in the microwave.
