Easy Oat Cookies For Dogs

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 cup Old fashioned oats
  • 1 cup Grated carrots
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1/3-1/2 cup Peanut butter ~ I used Skippy Creamy Natural

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, add all ingredients, mixing well.
  • Place one or two tablespoons of dough on a lined cookie sheet. One tablespoon for small dogs and two for large dogs.
  • Gently press an indention in the center of each cookie.
  • Bake for 18 minutes; check after 15 for smaller cookies.
  • Place 1/2 tablespoon of peanut butter in the indention of the warm cookies. Let cookies cool to room temperature. Or add peanut butter after the cookies have cooled.
  • Once peanut butter has firmed up, store them in the refrigerator for up to a week or freeze them for longer storage.
