Homemade Tartar Sauce

When in a pinch this quick & easy homemade tartar sauce is a lifesaver.

You might even decide to make this homemade version all the time it’s so yummy.

Foods to eat with tartar sauce:
~ fish burgers
~ fish tacos
~ onion rings
~ French fries
~ chicken tenders
~ anything deep fried

Some folks even like to dip fish sticks in tartar sauce and then in cocktail sauce. Whichever way you like tartar sauce is exactly how you should eat it!!

If you want to make dairy-free, egg-free, or vegan tartar sauce, simply replace the mayonnaise with a product like Follow Your Heart Vegenaise.

Homemade Tartar Sauce    6-8 Servings
1 cup Mayonnaise or Vegenaise for egg-free~ Best Foods or Hellmann’s for nut -free.
2 Tbsp fresh or bottled lemon juice
3-4 Tbsp finely chopped dill pickles
2 tsp dried dill weed ~ crunched up a bit
1/4 tsp ground pepper or a couple of rotations of freshly ground pepper

Mix, chill, and enjoy!
