Mushrooms come in many shapes and sizes but for this recipe, I like to use white button mushrooms. They have a mild flavor and can be eaten raw or cooked. White button mushrooms are a nice addition to salads, soups, stir-fry, omelets, and pizza.

These little savory gems are even good cold!
Halloumi cheese is my very favorite sheep cheese. It melts nicely and can even be fried, which is absolutely addicting. Just cut into strips and fry to crispy perfection. Then dip the fried strips in some warm marinara. Try it, and you will see what I am talking about!!
It’s a little spendy but well worth the splurge!!
Enjoy!
Another popular healthy appetizer is this Homemade Fat-Free Hummus, which is not only a quick and easy dip but also a fantastic fat-free sandwich spread.
